Welcome to the website for Mrs.D.O'Neill's grade 3 class at St. Anne Catholic School. As your child's teacher I provide a variety of fun and interesting learning opportunites. My goal is to make sure all my students experience success. Our learning takes place through whole class SMART board lessons, small guided learning groups, partner activities, cooperative group work, 1:1 conferences, and individual tasks. Our learning tools include the SMART board, chrome books/laptops, IPADs, white boards and markers, math manipulatives, notebooks, duotangs, text books, science equipment, and a variety of non-fiction and fictional texts.
On this website I will post information you need to know about our Grade 3 program . The blog will have photos of the students engaged in fun learning activities. You will find a newsletter outlining topics and strands we are learning about in different subjects. There is a technology page with educational websites for you and your child. You will also find a list of Grade 3 word wall words that students will be using most often this year. They should know how to spell these words by the end of grade 3. The final page of the website has important dates about speciaI events.
I like to keep parents informed of the types of learning tasks that take place in our grade 3 class. Please look for questions, discussion items, and titles posted on the newsletter page and next to the blog photos. These questions are specific to the learning opportunities taking place in the different subjects. Your son or daughter should be able to provide you with detailed answers about these activites and topics. This will get the conversation going at home. Your ongoing support in your child's education is always appreciated.
